A COEXISTÊNCIA MERCOSUL-UNASUL – COEXISTENCE MERCOSUR-UNASUR

Neste trabalho, pretende-se desenvolver um estudo objetivo acerca da efetivação da União de Nações Sul-Americanas (Unasul) como um legítimo representante dos interesses máximos dos países respectivos: o eixo da América do Sul. Além disso, propõe-se um estudo acerca da permanência do Mercado Comum do Sul (Mercosul) em sua missão diante do estabelecimento daquela entidade. A possibilidade de coexistência entre ambos é levantada. Objetiva-se esboçar a nova realidade que impera e que se amolda a cada dia com base numa análise sobre o papel desempenhado pelo Mercosul, desde suas raízes históricas até seus efetivos avanços e retrocessos, sem se esquecer do novo âmago ideológico pregado pela Unasul. Dessa forma, a questão de uma integração mais profunda entre os países da América do Sul é vislumbrada, podendo referir-se como uma perpetuação do Mercosul e estruturação da Unasul, ou prevalência desta em detrimento daquela.

ABSTRACT: In this work we intend to develop an objective study about the effectiveness of Unasur as a legitimate representative of the maximum interests of the respectives countries, the axis of South America. Besides, we also propose a study of the permanence of the Mercosur in its mission before the establishment of that entity. The possibility of coexistence between them is lifted, aiming to outline the new reality that reigns and shapes itself to each day based on an analysis of the role played by Mercosur – from its historical roots to its effective advances and setbacks without forgetting the new core ideology preached by Unasur. Thus, the question of deeper integration among the countries of South America is seen, and would refer as a perpetuation of Mercosur and the structuring of Unasur, or the prevalence of this over that.
